When Warhammer Worlds Collide!
This title is the tag line of
a fantastic Indy GT (independently-run
Grand
Tournament) held each year in
Orlando FL. This event, The Necronomicon,
was
held this year on the weekend
of July 14-15 and saw 70 Warhammer
generals
and 50 40K commanders battling
it out (not quite against each
other) for
fame and glory and some really
cool trophies.
From the snazzy registration
packet to the brand new terrain,
from
the great
location to the friendly team,
The Necro (as it is affectionately
know) was
a class act all the way. Seeing
all those players in a relaxed
(yet
competitive) atmosphere and hearing
the hum of the room during rounds
was
certainly the highlight of my
visit to the Sunshine State.
This was the second independent
event on our 2007 Tournament
Circuit, and
many of the top players were
in attendance. For details of
the
Tournament
Circuit standings click
here.
Plenty of photographs were taken
over the weekend and almost
all
of them can
be found on the official Necronomicon
website: thenecro.com
All that remains is to thank
the team that put the event
together: Janner Holliday, John
Petrelli, Jason Holliday, Jason
Mitchell, Tom
Keegan, Doug
Klem, Derek Anderson, Luke Duddridge,
and Stefan Price! Nice work
guys!
Cheers
